18 June 2017 Sermon – Exodus 4 – “Please, Use Anyone But Me!”

When God called Moses to lead Israel out of Egypt, the man chosen was not all that excited to rush off and do the job.  Instead, he hedges and provokes God’s anger; yet ironically, God had already equipped Moses with everything he needed to do the job!  In fact, his time in the Midian wilderness for the previous 40 years as a shepherd had equipped him well to be Israel’s deliverer.  For those of us in Christ who are called to do small – and big – things for Jesus, are we also grieving our Saviour by digging in our heels?   Jesus too is our faithful shepherd (John 10).  Here is my sermon on this from Exodus 4 (all) (c.f. Hebrews 3:1-6).

God bless, Pastor Haydn.
