3 September 2017 Sermon – Exodus 14 – God’s Greatest Deliverance Before Jesus

Before Jesus, God’s greatest deliverance before Jesus was His taking Israel out of Egypt by crossing the Red Sea (the Sea of Reeds).  However, Israel demanded to return to Egypt (Exodus 14:11-12), saying it was better to go back to slavery.  How did that happen in the midst of Israel’s most monumental deliverance?  Alas, in the heart of every Christian believer, even, is an Israelite seeking to return to the slavery of sin, and unless we die to sin by the blood of Jesus we will do the same.  Here is my sermon on these themes from Exodus 14 (c.f. John 19:28-37).

God bless, Pastor Haydn Sennitt.
