No relationship with God can occur without being covered, and initiated, by blood. Israel had to slaughter animals to be right with God, and in Exodus 24 Moses initiated God’s covenant with them by literally covering every Israelite with blood. But for Christians, it’s the blood of Jesus that seals them. Are you covered by the blood of Jesus, or will God require your blood at the end of your life, to pay for all your sins? This is the theme of my sermon today from Exodus 24 (c.f. Hebrews 9:12-22).
God bless, Pastor Haydn.
